Steel columns can be divided into solid web columns and grid columns according to the cross-sectional form. The solid web column has an integral cross-section, and the I-shaped cross-section is commonly used; the cross-section of the lattice column is divided into two or more limbs, which are used between each limb. When the load is larger and the column is wider, the steel consumption is smaller.
There are many types of steel columns, the common ones are factory steel columns and high-rise steel columns. Among them, the steel columns of high-rise buildings are commonly called "steel columns", and their function is to support the core of the entire building. Commonly used steel columns include box columns, cross-shaped columns, and round pipe columns.
Among them, the high-rise steel column is a type of steel-concrete structure, and the prefabricated building is a structure in which steel bars and beams are placed around the steel structural columns and beams, and concrete is poured. The structure not only has the dual advantages of steel structure and reinforced concrete structure, but also gives full play to the characteristics of two different materials of concrete compression and steel reinforcement. At the same time, the cross-sections of beams and columns are reduced, which greatly improves the utilization space of the building.
